Parent Sessions

Our Parent Sessions are interactive group presentations designed to help parents understand how career-interest assessments can guide their children’s postsecondary decisions. Parents are introduced to Dr. John Holland’s career development theory and guided through the CAUSE assessment process, including Holland Codes, differentiation, and consistency. Through practical examples, parents learn how assessment results can help identify educational and career pathways aligned with their children’s interests. Rather than directing students toward a particular career, these sessions equip families with information to make thoughtful decisions about college, career and technical education, apprenticeships, and employment. Understanding these connections early can help families avoid costly changes in college majors, unnecessary educational expenses, and the frustration of pursuing an educational pathway that may not be a good fit.
